Recently, my thread was deleted by the administrator or a moderator.

But I know the people frequently using the word "f*ck" in this forum.
    Why do you allow that?

    Please explain to me.

    EntirelyPossible.

    Yeah.
You are the very person who uses that "F word" frequently.

So, I think that you should not answer to this question first.

It is because, probably, you are the very person who uses the word "f*ck" frequently.

You got to draw a line somewhere I suppose. Moderating a forum can't be an exact science: expect inconsistency.

    EntirelyPossible.

I feel that it is not necessary to converse with you.

I am asking of Simon, that why Simon has allowed you (EntirelyPossible) to say "f*ck" frequently.

I would make a humble suggestion that if, in the future, you want to ask someone a question and you don't want others to comment on it, that you might want to use the PM function rather than post a topic, particularly one where you seem to be offended by another poster and don't want that person to get involved in the conversation.

    I do not dislike you.

Probably, you did not read my thread which Simon (or a moderator) deleted.
Since that was deleted, I cannot show you.

As I said to you, this is a question to Simon.

Well, a "fuck" who is not directed towards a specific person is not an insult in my opinion. It's just an interjection.

I read and commented on your thread that was deleted, Possible.

I am one who hates the F word.

I wish there was a way that it could be blocked, period.

    Hmmm ...

    DagothUr.

Probably, in this forum, nobody can write an opinion like what you said.

Also in that thread, Simon forbade the posts.

You must not do the act to which Simon also makes this thread the same, before I get a reply from Simon.

I don't like the F word but in the context of the question he posed I thought the thread was valid.

It is a case of two standards when ppl can say "F*** you" which is far more aggressive, and then you have the use of the word in a question.

But, this thread will probably get locked like the last one that supported possible-san's thread.

This is the only time when I used the f...k word. If the policy of the forum is to delete it, so be it. House rules.

Personally, I prefer using "fxxx" instead of the word itself.  And it does pose a problem.

However, if you start editing out or deleting posts with one letter missing, where do you stop?  I do believe it's up to the administration to edit out swearing--according to the rules.  And they can edit a word so it simply uses the first letter and three red "x"'s, or [censored].  Usually it is not necessary to delete the whole post for one bad word.

I think it is an ugly word, but it is used everywhere these days, so as posts reflect common usage, we must expect a few F's to crop up.

I think since it has become ubiquitous it has lost its stength as a swear word, its power to shock. It no longer shocks me,it also has lost some of its comedic power, it used to be funny in certain contexts.

I also think there is no room on here for someone, however angry and upset, to say "F you" to another poster, that post should be edited or removed.

I suppose those who are offended by it in any form, even F*** , or Effin, for example, may just have to ignore it, or leave the forum, you know, F'off.

The odd F**k thrown in for emphasis when it is appropriate does not offend me.  The gratuitous use of it frequently does lower the tone and offend some however.

Starting a thread on the subject is taking it to a new level however, especially when the word is used in it's entirety in the title . . . it tends to attract attention.

    But I do agree with BP . . . your original thread seemed a genuine inquiry . . .

This thread seeks to know why there is inconsistency . . . I guess that will always be so, unless all voluntarily submit to the rules without exception.  But I don't think that will happen.
