Yes, I know that sounds rich coming from a newbie here - but I doubt the look of this site has changed in a long time. Maybe one of the stalwart posters can back me up on that. This is a bare-bones site, and while it does it's job, there's certainly room for improvement. It lags behind in terms of functionality and design when compared with the majority of websites around. It just needs a little push in the right direction. I've selected a few things that I think could do with a reshuffle. Feel free to add your own: • Adding a Profile section, where you can update your avatar, and add information (Age, Gender, Location, Bio) directly through this site • Using colour code names to determine who the Mods/Admins are. Some of you will know them but I don't have a clue • Have a notification or extra icon in the top right when you have an unread message • Fixing an issue where the text runs off the page and can't be read • Layout/Design, maybe hold a contest for our creative friends here to design a logo and colour scheme • Threads should be organized by the most recent REPLY, not the date of thread creation • Posts should be sorted from the top down, and the most recent should be page 1, not page 10661 |

As I understand it, this site was created from scratch by the owner - not from one of the site software packages. I believe that a prototype of a new site format is being tested and developed further. I am sure that constructive criticism is welcome, but it may seem a little pushy to many if it comes from someone with less than 100 posts. |

Only 1 post off 100 now. We all use the internet, we've probably all been to different forums, and we know what could be added to this forum to improve it. I could have 5 posts and still see the contrast between other forums and this one. I didn't intend for this thread to come off as pushy, so apologies for that. Anyway, if there's already some planned changes that's great. I look forward to seeing them.

I think there is a thread from Simon, the site owner, somewhere back about a month or so ago giving an address for the test system. |

Please visit the page below and read the posts made by Simon, a few weeks ago. (He is the owner and the web developer.)

BTW - for what it is worth, I have come to like the present forum just fine. If only the PM system would work the first time instead of needing to be opened twice, I would have no complaints at all. |
