It would seem, Gary, we've just hand our hands slapped for asking a normal question. |

I did see that, hence the hand slap comment. I think it would have been very easy to remove either Marvin's so called name or the posts where they were posted and just let the poster know not to do it again. I think the thread was too important to delete. Being told not to ask questions makes me feel I'm in room 2 at the KH getting told off by the elders. I want to know vital info on blood, what is and isn't fact with regard to JW's beliefs, I'd rather if threads are going to be deleted it would be sex in the kingdom hall and threads of a similar nature. |

No hand-slapping intended, we just want to protect people's privacy and that takes precedence over the immediate availability of a thread. Yes, we'll be putting it back as soon as we've had chance to edit out the offending pieces as the content is definitely valuable and something we want to be shared and available. |

That should be interesting. The issue of "outing" becomes much more significant when people claim to be authorities but have no proof. Outing the average person is not my thing. Nor did I specifically "out" anyone, but really it doesn't matter. Heads of groups that are pretending to be something they are not is whistle-blower material, homies. Or are we still living in Dodge City? I do not out the moral discrepancies of "leaders" or movers and shakers without reason. Some things people need to know, if they are to put someone on a pedestal. The whole David Koresh thing ccould have been avoided over something as simple as this! But Zen had a very significant string of responses, which I just happened to have, and we will put them up in time. Not here, obviously.

In relation to those who engaged the thread of discussion at issue, I fail to understand a word of that response.
What “leader” has a “moral discrepancy” that according to your righteousness everyone else needs to know about? Who is this leader?
Watchtower trains folks not to ask too many questions. I began a thread asking a question that apparently really bothered two folks in particular. Next thing you know, things are said in apparent attempt to cause injury. This is how Watchtower trains its appointees to act!
I don’t understand any of this.

I don’t understand a word of that either.
Who has claimed to be an authority without proof of that authority, and what is the authority they claim?

At Freeminds I would imagine. But I find it hard to understand why he objects to someone's privacy being protected. |

Watch and see if Marvin HAS to have the last post in this thread. That makes him the winner! {couldn't resist] Seriously, I concede to you "Marvin." The joke is, we don't really disagree on much of anthing... you are offended by our new game apparently, one of telling the whole truth, even from the JW side. You yourself in your blog have said to give us time to catch up. So gimme some grace! I have a hard time after 10 hours on the computer. I just don't see this all as necessary. We are not saying the WT has "changed their policy (in print)" but rather in practice. If the wording of our tract indicates that, I think we have already changed it. They are printed up and ready to go in the next Free Minds Journal. You want proof? I suggest ALL of you call the WT and get your own answer. Some will be contradictory, as there are more than one god in Service. Cabeen and I got Tom Miles sent there just to get his demnding ass out of the pressroom! I'm not sure if he ever figured out how that happened... Are you sure you're not Tom Miles from the Service Dept., who being bored, plays this role? :-))
It is an exit-counselor's job to be sensational at first to get their attention, then if they show interest or deference, to kindly explain it to them. They will be grateful to you. What's the beef, dude? Let's be friends. I'm sorry we changed your style. I wouldn't like it if someone took over Freeminds.org and changed my whole style, but it is inevitable someday. Accept winding down and enjoy life. If you were in LA, I would invite you over and fix you a steak dinner. This is all no big deal! Study advertising and memetic shifts in cultural norms. Randy

I don’t understand any of this.
Me neither. Makes me wonder what sins I've committed. Back in the day, the AJWRB website listed Zack Daniels as "Science Advisor and Researcher" which frankly, I didn't deserve, but that role was filled almost immediately by Dr. Muramoto. I edited some of his stuff for smooth English and all I got out of it was a steady stream of hate mail and hacking attempts from JW's |

I do not understand those statements said to me.
I am not offended by a/the new game plan, and certainly I am not offended by telling the truth about Watchtower’s blood doctrine, particularly from the Witness side! I think the style change is good. I have told you this several times, and in fact have said so publicly.
I am happy someone else took over the AJWRB thing. My years as caretaker was tiring. That’s why I gave it to you, since you wanted it.
I do enjoy life, and I hope to have some living left to do. Part of that life will be put to use helping the community of Jehovah’s Witnesses. I have no plans of winding that part of my life down. Why should I?
I do expect those who give information to the Witness and medical community about Watchtower’s blood doctrine to get the details right. If what folks say is questionable then I will not hesitate to question it, and have.
When some 'new realization' is announced I expect it to be verifiable. When I speak with Bethel on the point at issue, I do not get verification Watchtower has abandoned the policy it announced in year 2000. I’m told Witnesses who willingly and without repentance accept transfusion of whole blood, red cells, white cells, platelets or plasma (Watchtower’s usage, not mine) will be treated as having voluntarily disassociated. Maybe I'm not being told the truth, or maybe I am. I don't know coming from Watchtower.
I do not expect to be treated bad by truth-lovers for the crime of asking folks to give their reasons for what they publish on the subject of Watchtower’s blood doctrine, which includes how Witness patients are treated accordingly by Watchtower appointed elders. People are important to me.
I know this: whoever runs AJWRB will be unable to find success if they find it a waste of time to answer for what they say.
I have no interest in having any final say. I only wanted an answer to the question I asked, and found myself replying to fallout as a result, including this message. Feel free to finish whatever it is you want to say, if you have not already said it. I do appreciate that you and Zen did express the reasons why you both were saying what you were saying. It gave readers an opportunity to measure veracity, which is important.
In the meantime, readers have learned something very important from this episode. But that is for readers to determine and decide.
